About George Heidkamp
Born in Chicago, IL and raised in the western suburb of Hinsdale, George came to love the White Sox at an early age due to what he describes as "an acute awareness of of how baseball should be played in a stadium with fans and not in a large, decaying, overhyped outdoor bar."
Since then he has routinely argued that the Sox would've won the Series in 1994, that Frank Thomas was the greatest hitter of the 1990s, Shoeless Joe belongs in the Hall, and that no fan of either Chicago baseball team deserved to gloat over the other until one broke the World Series drought. Needless to say, October 26, 2005 was special for him in more than just the usual ways.
Having graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Film & Television, George now lives in the vast American wasteland known as Los Angeles, where the only thing that keeps him sane is the knowledge that genuine Portillo's Hot Dogs are nearby.
